Reports to:  SVP Financial Services               
 
Purpose and Scope of Job: To provide the leadership, direction and guidance for Insurance Division activities necessary to attain or exceed specific sales, relationship, and income goals set by Management annually.
 

Essential Functions/Duties:
 

Effectively and efficiently utilizes staff to accomplish growth and profit objectivesDevelops & motivates staff to meet required performance levels.  Counsels and guides subordinates in the exercise of their assigned duties to ensure satisfactory performance.Functions as the division representative continually searching out new companies, reviewing and analyzing existing companies for efficiencies and competitiveness in the market place.

 Plans and directs the customer call program to develop customer relationships in accordance with the established Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program. Conducts frequent and regular sales meetings and trainings with staff, and builds a cohesive team of insurance experts to work in tandem with various bank personnel to cultivate new customers and increase wallet-share with existing customers. Facilitates Financial Check-ups on prospects and customers in accordance with the Bank’s CRM program. 

Promote all bank products by meeting or exceeding specific, tangible referrals that result in booked business to other departments. Selects, trains, coaches, and develops subordinates in accordance with Co philosophies and policies; ensures compliance with  policies and procedures (compliance, human resources, IS, etc.) within work area. Prepares various operating and performance tracking reports as requested. Represents Co at various civic, charitable, educational and social affairs in order to develop and expand base of contacts and prospects. 


Experience/Education Required:
 

Bachelors’ degree
Minimum of 10 to 15 years’ experience including:

  1. Insurance Agency: owner or manager or comparable experience which must have included managing staff  with sales responsibilities.
  2. Direct insurance sales experience
  3. Thorough knowledge of the insurance business.
